PlayStation fans have some banger freebies lined up for March, and you can download and play them today.

If you’re a PlayStation Plus Essential subscriber, this month’s free games are available to add to your library, ready to download and play at any point.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard leads the March PlayStation Plus titles

Some would consider this the biggest month for the service in some time as the hit RPG, Dragon Age: The Veilguard headlines this month’s offerings.

Our Emma chose this title as her Game of the Year, last year, saying, “There aren’t many video games out there that have moved me to tears, and definitely not with such intensity.”

Though many might be frustrated that such a new game has now reached the subscription and is free to keep forever, it does mean more players will embark on a memorable journey through this gorgeous world.

If that doesn’t float your boat, you can get your hands on SEGA’s mascot, Sonic the Hedgehog.

Sonic Colors: Ultimate is also part of the March catalogue additions, and offers players a chance to spin, dash, and leap through a bold and bright world as the blue blur.

Lastly, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are ready and waiting to kick some butt, in TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection.

Both Sonic Colors and TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection are PlayStation 4 titles, so they’ll play across both of Sony’s consoles.

As these are all part of the base tier of PlayStation Plus, they’re available to all subscribers.

It’s frankly shocking, and a little bold, that Dragon Age is featured here, given that it’s less than six months old.

If you’ve been on the fence, this is a great time to subscribe and give it a chance.

PlayStation has been very generous this month, so make the most of it, and get the games downloaded.
