Wuthering Waves has been a long time coming for PlayStation fans, as the game has been out on PC for some time, and now it arrives on the Sony console as a free-to-play title.

You can grab the game right now, without PlayStation Plus, and dive into a world filled with wonder, whimsy, and anime style.

With a huge cast of characters and a vast world to explore, this RPG is bursting with magic.

Fully voice-acted, this is a must-play for anime fans who love deep world-building and intricate lore.

You play as Rover, about to embark on an adventure in a world destroyed by the ‘lament’.

This gives you a post-apocalyptic world to explore as humanity attempts to rebuild civilisation.

Fast-paced combat will keep you on your toes as you control the protagonist and their allies, many of which are unlocked throughout play.

Your characters will be able to switch forms into powerful monsters able to conquer challenges and battles that popular the world.

The game already has millions of fans from its time on PC and mobile platforms, and fans have been desperate to play on PS5 for many months.

It would be remiss of me not to mention that, in the vein of other free-to-play RPGs such as Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves does feature gacha mechanics.

This means that numerous characters and items can be unlocked via random elements that can be purchased with real world money, however the game can be enjoyed without spending a penny.

As a fan of Honkai Star Rail, I’ll be giving this a go over the coming weeks and hoping to sink more hours into another great RPG.
