PlayStation gamers can try 2025’s best rated game so far free, no PS Plus needed

PlayStation users are feasting this month as not only are there loads of amazing games coming to PlayStation Plus, there’s also one you can play right now, no subscription required.

It’s one of 2025’s best-rated games at the moment, a demo of which can be played right now on your consoles, Dynasty Warriors: Origins.

After plenty of time with the game myself for review, I can wholeheartedly say it’s a fantastic game, and a great starting point if you haven’t played a Dynasty Warriors game before.

While technically being a spin-off, it’s been positioned as a sort of fresh-start for the series, a welcoming title for newcomers that lays out the story in more detail than ever before, with gameplay to match.

You’ll shred your way through fields of armies with a large assortment of weaponry, as well as pull-up some deadly combos and super moves to wipe out anything standing in your way. The boss fights are pretty peak too.

Currently on PlayStation 5, you can try the game for free through a recent demo, which will give you a taste of the action and help you decide if the full game is for you or not.

The best news is it’s not a premium trial, meaning you don’t need a subscription to PlayStation Plus Premium like you do with other games, such as The Last Of Us Part II.

It’s well-worth a go whether you’re curious about the Dynasty Warriors series, like hack-and-slash games, or just want to try something new to kill the time.
