Time well spent

Who doesn't want to know they're getting value for money? It's one of the most natural things in the world, right up there with childbirth and a deep hatred of the music of Chad Kroeger.

PlayStation Plus subscribers are particularly keen to know they're getting their money's worth, which is totally fair enough given recent price hikes. But the latest free games on offer give subscribers the value they're looking for? Let's find out together, shall we?

Take a look at our 10/10 review of the incredible Final Fantasy VII Rebirth below!

The new games, which were announced yesterday, will replace the current lineup at the start of April. The March games, for those who need a reminder, are: Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, F! 2023, Hello Neighbour 2, Sifu.

Meanwhile, April's free games consist of Immortals Of Aveum, Minecraft Legends and Skul: The Hero Slayer.

According to a post on the PlayStation Subreddit, we're definitely getting some decent gameplay hours out of these free games. The average length of Skul: The Hero Slayer is around 37 hours, and Immortals Of Aveum can keep you busy for around 36. There's no time for Minecraft Legends mentioned in the post, but a quick look on How Long To Beat? Puts that one at roughly 20 hours if you want to do everything. That's 92 hours combined, which isn't too shabby at all for a monthly lineup.

I should stress of course that mileage may vary between players. Heck, some of you might get 10 minutes into Immortals Of Aveum and decide it's not for you, while others could lose 30 hours to Minecraft Legends. It's your life, and your call, my friends. The important thing is you choose the game you want to play and get good and properly stuck in.
