It is the middle of a brand-new month and that means it is time for Sony to reveal which new games will be heading to PlayStation Plus for the month ahead.

That is what happened just yesterday when Sony shared the 11 titles heading to the PS Plus service for January and alongside some modern titles, members are also going to be treated to some much-loved classics.

As part of the PS Plus Classics collection for Premium members, users will be able to dive into none other than MediEvil 2 as of 21 January.

Available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, the 2000 action-adventure title by Sony is back and fans of the nostalgic title are over the moon.

First released a whopping 25-years ago, MediEvil 2 was the highly-anticipated sequel to the 1998 title, taking place 500 years after the events of the first game.

It is set in Victorian London and follows the story of Sir Daniel Fortesque as he attempts to thwart the sorcerer Lore Palethorn's plans as well as deal with the grisly deeds of Jack the Ripper who is terrorising the city by raising the dead.

MediEvil 2 was regarded positively upon release but still left some things to be desired when it came to a lack of innovation based on the prequel.

However, time does have a way of improving things and now the title is regarded as a classic. So much so, that millions of players will be flocking to it as of 21 January.

Alongside MediEvil 2, Sony is also adding 2009’s Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings to PS Plus.

Originally released for the Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, PSP and Wii, the action-adventure title is now heading to modern-day consoles.

The story focuses on Indiana Jones as he searches for his mentor Charles Kingston, all whilst working to prevent the Nazis from procuring the Staff of Kings.

Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, the game was still praised for its fun gameplay which is all you can really ask for for an Indiana Jones video game.

As mentioned, both MediEvil 2 and Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings will be free for PS Plus Premium members next week.
