GTA 6 PlayStation-exclusive deal teased by insider

Could extra content be heading to PS5s?

Grand Theft Auto VI remains on track to launch this year, and yet there’s so little we know about it.

Rockstar Games hasn’t offered anything new since that original reveal trailer dropped in December of 2023.

I find that baffling.

Yes, GTA VI isn’t exactly the type of game that needs marketing, but there are still plenty of things that fans might expect to know about by now.

We’ve seen nothing in the way of gameplay, nor been told anything about the game’s various features.

Of course, fans are also itching for information on the game’s pricing, release date, and various editions.

If GTA VI is on track to launch this fall, by which I mean September to November, then some kind of reveal is surely set to land in the next couple of months.

In the meantime, one insider has surfaced with a tidbit pertaining to a potential partnership between GTA VI and PlayStation.

You can view that original trailer below.

This information comes from Twitter user DetectiveSeeds who claims, “There are two more PlayStation partnerships that have not been announced yet and should happen before summer show.”

He later referred to one as a “big marketing deal”.

There’s absolutely no word on whether this is GTA VI, but that’s the general consensus.

What might this look like in practice? Well, PlayStation users might be able to access console-specific content in-game for example, in exchange for Sony helping Rockstar market the title.

While I have to urge you to take all of this speculation with a pinch of salt, a collab of this nature does somewhat feel likely.

When the PlayStation 5 Pro launched last year, there were whispers that Sony wanted to get the console out in time to be the go-to destination to experience GTA VI.

For now though, we’re all going to have to remain patient.

Take-Two Interactive’s next investors call is to be held in May so it stands a chance that we might get a GTA VI update then.
