We all know that GTA VI is going to be a blockbuster unrivalled within gaming. But what if Sony can push out their much-rumoured PlayStation 5 Pro console before the Rockstar smash hit lands? The two combined would certainly set the world on fire with potentially millions of players snagging the upgraded console to play the biggest game of all-time.

The rumoured console is set to improve on its predecessor by using custom machine learning, 45% faster rendering, and two to three times the level of ray tracing.

GTA VI is on track to be the biggest video game launch of all-time.

Sony will want to capitalise on GTA VI and attempt to make their console the best place to play Rockstar’s latest hit. Now, as with any rumour, we should take this with a pinch of salt, however we have an idea of what GTA VI is going to look like and how much power it will need to create the scenes we saw in the trailer. Sony dropping a console upgrade could garner a lot of players, especially as the game will not be releasing on PC for quite some time.

This could mean that for fans to get the very best experience they might have to drop a small fortune on a new piece of hardware. Sony already hold a power position in the industry with many more PlayStations in the wild than Xbox consoles, and a play like this could easily secure the near future of the console.

GTA VI is due for release in 2025 and while we don’t have any more information on that release date, we did finally get a good look at the game recently. It’s no surprise that Rockstar Games is pulling out all the stops for this instalment and bring us a game like we’ve never seen before. Now the ball is in PlayStation’s court; can they get their PS5 Pro out soon?
