Two classic Call of Duty games are reportedly coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, according to a new leak.

While Activision readies up to release Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on all current platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2, it is apparently also giving fans of classic Call of Duty games something to enjoy.

A new leak has suggested that modern remasters of two classic Treyarch games are coming soon, with PS4 and PS5 at least confirmed to be getting them.

As reported by PlayStation Game Size, an X (formerly Twitter) account that datamines information from PlayStation Store listings, Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops II are reportedly coming to PS4 and PS5.

PlayStation Game Size has managed to extract its logos from the store, which indicates that a release may be coming soon.

This leak follows earlier reports that the games were rated for release in Korea, although the news wasn’t exactly widespread due to this. However, we can say with some confidence that it certainly looks like Activision will be re-releasing them on modern platforms.

However, be sure to take all of this with a grain of salt for now until Activision or Treyarch can officially announce this. Since the collection was a no-show over Summer Game Fest, there still isn't an official source confirming their existence for now.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops And Black Ops 2 Are Two Of The Most Popular CoD Games Of All Time

It’s entirely possible that this could also mean Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops II are also coming to other platforms, such as Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2.

In the case of the former, the Xbox 360 versions are already available via backwards compatibility, but these could be newer versions with improved graphics and features similar to the Modern Warfare remasters from a few years back.

And in the case of the latter, it would certainly bolster up Nintendo’s Call of Duty offerings if it could get three major titles released in the same year.

As for what could be featured in the game, there’s a good chance that the Black Ops remasters will only feature their single-player campaigns, similar to 2020’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered.

Infinity Ward only remastered the campaign for Modern Warfare 2, likely due to the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered alongside Infinite Warfare in 2016, apparently cannibalising the main game’s community.

Call of Duty: Black Ops was released in 2010. Set during the 1960s, the game's plot involved themes around the CIA, Vietnam War, conspiracy theories and the Cold War.

Two years later, it was followed by Call of Duty: Black Ops II, which continued the story and was set across two time periods: a Cold War story in the 1980s and a futuristic campaign set in 2025 (this was made in 2012, mind you).
