The Witcher 4 can’t come soon enough. Yet, while we wait for CD Projekt Red to work its magic on the upcoming title, we’ve still got plenty to explore in The Witcher 3.

First and foremost, The Witcher 3: Sins of the Student.

This fan-made quest is a substantial mod that introduces an extra 30 minutes of gameplay to your experience.

Sins of the Student’s story centres around “a secret Oxenfurt Academy night school that suffers an unexplained monster attack”.

During the course of the expansion, you’ll fight “unique” bosses, solve “cool puzzles”, and meet “new characters”.

In short, there’s a lot going on for Geralt to investigate.

Before you embark on this new quest, you need to make sure you’re properly prepared to handle what will unfold once you’re at the academy.

“The start of this questline will be available after you have completed the Hearts of Stone DLC main story,” explains Sins of the Student creator TrickArrant.

“You'll find a bunch of blood outside a cottage near the Novigrad Gate in Oxenfurt. Investigating will begin the questline. The quests all have a suggested level of 40, though I'd recommend turning on enemy upscaling if you're above that and want the proper challenge.”

Some Witcher fans have already visited the academy to see what goes bump in the night, so to speak.

Overall, they’re impressed by what TrickArrant has created.

“I was playing the mod and wanted to say that I really liked the overall design with the different quests surrounding them.

"It was a very fun ride and overall, this kind of content is what I am hoping for in future mods,” commented NexusMods member Modikus.

Seeing as you’re dipping your toe back into The Witcher 3 once more, you may as well change this one setting to unlock a completely new experience.

Even if you don’t do that though, you’ll still find much entertainment in Sins of the Student.
