The Witcher 3 gets new free download packed with original quests

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt may be celebrating its ten-year anniversary next year but that doesn’t mean that fans are any less eager to dive back into the action at any opportunity.

First released in 2015 as the third part in The Witcher game series, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is widely regarded as the best of them.

The open-world RPG by CD Projekt Red was praised for its loveable characters, exciting combat and intriguing story.

So it was no wonder that the main game was followed by two DLCs at a later date.

Titled Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, the DLCs are often considered as some of the best expansions for any AAA game so it is perhaps no surprise that fans are still eager for more.

Luckily, that is now possible thanks to The Spider and The Wolf mod for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Created by Dwhyx and Beoronick on Nexus Mods, this free download “presents players with an intriguing new questline, centered around an old (maybe familiar to some) threat, emerging from the shadows to tighten its grip over the denizens of the Northern Kingdoms.”

Made with REDkit, the official modding kit for The Witcher 3, this mod allows players to get stuck into some brand-new quests which also fit in effortlessly with the base story.

Players will have to overcome dark rituals and cursed practices as well as an equally powerful presence as they break through a web of confusion and mystery.

Featuring over two hours of gameplay consisting of 2-3 brand-new quests, The Spider and The Wolf questline will kick off after you have left Vizima and begin exploring Velen for the first time.

Not only that but the level requirement for this DLC is 17.
