If you’ve found your interest in Starfield steadily diminishing, this free expansion might tempt you to keep exploring the stars.

This fan-made Starfield download adds more depth to the game's many factions.

Okay, there are five main factions, but that’s still quite a few, though!

Created by NexusMods modder Nell Drakebane, ‘Faction Story Expansion - Trackers Alliance’ adds new content to Bethesda’s game.

What is more, there are three new quests to play through.

“Each story takes place in the field and dungeons on a planet,” explains the modder.

You ready to broaden your horizons with the 'Faction Story Expansion'?

“I designed this mod for a character of low level (around Lv10 or so), as a kind of leveling dungeons before the vanilla Trackers Alliance main quests.”

This isn’t to say you shouldn’t play this expansion if your character is of a higher level, just that you’ll likely find the missions a little too easy.

Although a relatively new mod, the feedback thus far has been quite positive.

User zimmerlabs said, “I just finished the third bounty and I'm very impressed! You're really talented at creating and designing locations. The Sparrow's Nest is excellent, as are both the underground areas in the first two bounty missions.”

The same player went on to say how much better the content was when compared with Bethesda’s faction based storylines.

Ouch.

Praise continues further down the comments section with another fan saying, “Wow!! Just tried the loose files version, and it is just so good! All finely detailed and thought through, superb work!”

We think that means they enjoyed it...!

Joking aside, with a new expansion appearing online ahead of an official announcement from the devs, we’re all geared up to explore space.

The thing is, the Bethesda-made content isn’t available yet, and so we need to find other ways to continue our adventure.

‘Faction Story Expansion - Trackers Alliance’ is one way to do just that.
