Star Wars meets Starfield in these excellent free downloads

Create your own Star Wars experience

Star Wars fans are spoilt for choice when it comes to video games.

If you’re after ruthless action with a souls-esque edge, then it’s the Star Wars Jedi series that I’d direct you towards.

If you prefer teaming up with friends on the battlefield, Fortnite’s current Galactic Battle season is not to be missed - especially as it’ll eventually conclude in a live event on 7 June that involves taking down the Death Star.

For the most authentic Star Wars video game experience, I recommend Star Wars Outlaws; do not listen to the noise that surrounded the game at launch.

I’m playing through Star Wars Outlaws at the moment and it’s truly a fantastic game. I’m having tons of fun.

If you’ve tried out all of the above then perhaps I can tempt you with something a little more left-field.

Have you ever considered overhauling Starfield? There are tons of mods out there to give the game a Star Wars-themed lick of paint.

Star Wars Outlaws recently launched a free demo across console and PC.

As reported by DSOGaming, some fantastic Star Wars themed mods have emerged lately.

For example, ‘Star Wars - Tatooine’ adds Tatooine as a standalone planet, complete with its own factions, creatures, locations, and weapons.

This one’s the work of NexusMods user radicalclownfriend, but you could pair it with the work of Fox1120.

Fox1120’s mod, ‘Star Wars - Mos Eisley’, unsurprisingly adds the town of Mos Eisley.

This includes “distinct landmarks and famous ones like Chalmun’s Cantina”.

If you fancy something a little more quest-centric, then there’s DeityVengy’s ‘Star Wars - Sith Empire Shattered Space Conversion (WIP)’.

This one converts Starfield’s Shattered Space DLC into a brand new Star Wars-inspired storyline centring around the Sith Empire.

As I said, spoilt for choice.

And then there’s plenty more Star Wars games on the way.

The third Jedi game is in the works, while Outlaws will soon welcome a new story update on 15 May.

Then there’s Star Wars Zero Company and Amy Hennig’s Star Wars game; I’m less certain that Knights of the Old Republic Remake and Eclipse will ever see the light of day.
