The worlds of Red Dead Redemption 2 and Days Gone collide in this free fan-made DLC that you can download today.

Recently, Sony announced that Days Gone is getting the long-awaited remaster on PlayStation 5, boasting improved visuals, performance and content. What’s more, if you already own the original PS4 version, you can upgrade for just £10.

Check out the Days Gone Remastered trailer below!

Both Days Gone and Red Dead Redemption 2 have some similarities other than being open-world games. Each feature a protagonist that certainly plays no hero, both have a Wild West lawless tone and both look gorgeous to name a few comparisons.

Granted, Red Dead Redemption 2 features no zombies (or Freakers as they’re known in Days Gone but you get my point.) If you want zombies in the Rockstar Games series, then be sure to check out the Red Dead Redemption expansion, Undead Nightmare.

However, what if you want to blend the worlds of Red Dead Redemption 2 and Days Gone or more precisely, bring Deacon St. John into the Western world from Rockstar Games, now is your chance courtesy of this free mod.

Available to download right now via Nexusmods, the mod in question is created by hamster_44 and is simply called ‘Deacon St. John - Days Gone’ and it brings the main character from the game into Red Dead Redemption 2.

The mod replaces the Arthur Morgan character model, so expect Deacon to have the voice of Roger Clark. As strange as this initially is to see, once you see combat gameplay, it’s oddly a perfect fit.

Sadly, as is the nature of most mods, this is exclusive to the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2. Sorry, console gamers.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Days Gone is out on PC and PlayStation 4 with the official next-gen remaster arriving on 25 April 2025.
