Despite being such an iconic location, Guarma is only experienced for a brief amount of time in Red Dead Redemption 2, leaving players wishing for more.
Luckily, this free expansion will see the Caribbean island explored in much more detail.

During the fifth chapter of Red Dead Redemption 2, players will find themselves trapped on the island of Guarma after the Van der Linde’s bank robbery goes wrong.
Situated in the Caribbean, this tropical island consists mostly of jungle, and as a result, Arthur can stumble across the odd exotic animal. Other than that and the gang’s great escape, not much of the island is worth exploring.
Until now.
Thanks to a two-man team known as RedLungMorgan over on Nexus Mods, Guarma Enhanced and Restored does exactly what it says on the tin.
This free-to-download mod is “dedicated to restoring Guarma’s textures and improving the map’s overall quality”.
The mod is a work-in-progress and will be gradually updated over time.
However, for now, it will restore textures for the Caribbean island, enhance the map, add ambient NPCs and even add sharks around the area.
“This mod is gonna get updates, this is an on-going project and it's only 2 of us,” the mod description reads.
“Guarma is extremely neglected. Nobody has made a single mod about it besides the "10 Years Guarma" mod.
Well that's ending now.”
Despite the mod only being uploaded earlier today, it has already garnered almost 20 unique downloads so it is safe to say that fans are eager to explore more of this map and all of its potential.
Not only that but with more updates on the horizon, we can only imagine what the unique Red Dead 2 location could look like a year from now.
