The Epic Games Store’s free game line-up has refreshed, and you could save over $100 with this week’s inclusions.
Let’s begin with the heftier of the two, Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms, which claims to have a value over $100.
This is a Dungeons & Dragons strategy management game from developer Codename Entertainment.
“Recruit legendary Champions for the ultimate endless adventure,” the synopsis begins.
Advert
“Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms is a strategy management game that unites iconic Champions from D&D TRPG campaigns, video games, novels, actual plays, comic books, and shows into a grand adventure.
“Optimise formations using over 140 Champions, each with unique abilities, to defeat countless monsters across hundreds of adventures.
“Mastery requires pushing formations further with every adventure – only the most powerful formations will complete the greatest challenges Idle Champions has to offer.”
Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms is actually a free-to-play game, so you might be wondering how this is worth over $100.
Well, it essentially includes a load of in-game items you’d normally have to acquire via pricey DLC packs.
Those who download the game from Epic Games will nab Raistlin’s Renown Pack which includes 32 Platinum Chests, the Baaz Draconian familiar, Briv, Ellywick, Gale, Raistlin, Spurt, as well as two-week long potions.
I haven’t played the game, so I hope that means more to you than it did to me. You have until 12 March at 11am ET / 4pm GMT to log into Epic Games to secure it.
PC Users Can Also Redeem a Great Roguelite
The other free game this week is Turnip Boy Robs a Bank from developer Snoozy Kazoo; this one expires at the same time.
Unfamiliar? It’s a comical roguelite where Turnip Boy will team up with the Pickled Gang to pull off a heist.
Players will have to shake down hostages, steal valuables, and battle those who stand in their way, using items purchased from the dark web to progress further into the deep vaults of the Botanical Bank.

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank usually retails for $14.99, so this isn’t a bad saving. The game scored 82 on MetaCritic upon release in 2024, which means it isn’t a freebie to turn your nose up at.
Once you’ve downloaded these games, they’re yours to keep forever. This is, as always, exclusive to PC.
The line-up will reset next Thursday where it’s already confirmed that Cozy Grove and Isonzo will become available.
