Need for Speed: Underground has never looked better thanks to this glorious 4K remaster that is a sight to behold.

Two of the most well-known racing video game properties belong to the likes of Gran Turismo on PlayStation and Forza Motorsport on Xbox. However, when it comes to street racing, it doesn't get much better than Electronic Arts’ Need for Speed.

Check out the Need for Speed Unbound trailer below!

The Need for Speed series made its debut in 1994, the same year as the original PlayStation. Speaking of which, Sony is celebrating the 30th anniversary of PlayStation this year with some free nostalgic PS5 themes from all of its console generations.

The last game to be released in this beloved series was Need for Speed Unbound in 2022 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. At the time of writing, EA hasn't announced a new game in the series but many fans will be hoping for remakes of Need for Speed: Underground and Most Wanted.

While we patiently wait for those remakes that may or may not happen, gamers on PC can take advantage of fantastic mods such as the ones showcased on the YouTube channel Digital Dreams.

Originally released in 2003, Need for Speed: Underground, for some, is the best that this series has to offer and if you’ve been looking for an excuse to revisit this classic racer, now could be the perfect time.

The fan-made remaster takes advantage of a whole host of mods, and with the added power of RTX remix photorealistic ray tracing graphics, this is quite simply the Need for Speed: Underground remaster of our dreams.

Hopefully, EA would have heard the continued pleas from fans to give us official remakes or remasters of Need for Speed: Underground and Most Wanted. If that happens, we’ll be sure to let you know.
