Lord Of The Rings fans surprised with free video games you can grab now

Head over to Prime Gaming to grab these freebies

The return of Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is almost upon us, on 29 August to be exact.

Yes, that’s tomorrow.

That’s far from being the only Lord of the Rings treat on the way. In case you missed it, the first trailer has arrived for The Lord of Rings: The War of the Rohirrim and oh my, it looks positively fantastic.

That isn’t set to launch until 13 December though, so we’ve got a small wait ahead of us.

While The Rings of Power may only be a single sleep away, what if I told you that I had news of a free Lord of the Rings treat that you can get your hands on right now?

If you’re a fan of The Rings of Power then you must have a Prime Video account to watch it with.

Well, if you hop on over to Prime Gaming, you can currently nab some of the greatest Lord of the Rings video games ever to exist.

There are three games that tick that box, although one is going to be slightly harder to play for some of you.

Take a look at the aforementioned The War of The Rohirrim trailer below.

Prime Video fans can now download Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, and LEGO Lord of the Rings for free via Prime Gaming until 30 September.

As with all Prime Gaming giveaways, these will be PC editions.

The unfortunate catch is that to play Shadow of War, you’ll need an Amazon Luna.

Thankfully though, that’s not the case for Shadow of Mordor nor LEGO Lord of the Rings. For those, you can simply grab a code from the dedicated GOG link.

As an added tip, if you don’t have a Prime subscription, you should be able to take advantage of the website’s 30 day free trial offer in order to create an account and download these games.

If you’ve not experienced the Middle-earth franchise’s fantastic nemesis system, this is the perfect opportunity to change that.
