Hogwarts Legacy's new quest is a nod to the best film

With Hogwarts Legacy 2 basically confirmed, we can imagine that all hands are on deck for the highly-anticipated sequel.

However, that also means that we cannot expect any additional content for Hogwarts Legacy which is a shame considering that that has been one of the main complaints since the game was first released back in 2023.

With many players criticising its barren open-world and lack of updates, it seems unfortunate that we have to wait for Hogwarts Legacy 2 to receive more official content.

However, it is what it is and luckily, Hogwarts Legacy’s dedicated modding community has this area covered.

Created by Beebub over on CurseForge, Expecto Patronum! Is a brand-new mod for Hogwarts Legacy and is, of course, based on the best Harry Potter movie if I do say so myself.

Available to download for free, this mod adds a brand-new quest, dungeon, spell and boss battle.

“Venture through the Forbidden Forest on a new quest to discover your Patronus and defeat the ultimate wardens of Azkaban,” the mod’s official description reads.

Expecto Patronum! will see you meet a new classmate in the Hogwarts library who has discovered a mysterious spellbook.

Together you will embark on a journey through the Forbidden Forest in order to fight relentless enemies, solve the mystery of the spellbook and most importantly, discover your Patronus.

The mod introduces the Expecto Patronum spell as well as a new explorable area in the Forbidden Forest, new enemy types in the shape of Dark Wizards, Dementor boss battles, a new voiced companion called Beebub Flipendo and five voiced and motion/facial captured cutscenes.

Last but not least, you will get to experience a brand-new musical score for the boss battles and most importantly, gain access to your own Patronus with players able to be assigned a Patronus based on player choices as well as have the option to select their very own.

Expecto Patronum! is perfect for Hogwarts Legacy fans who are eager to get stuck into more content ahead of its sequel releasing some time in the distant future.
