If you’ve explored the vast majority of Hogwarts Legacy’s open world as I have, you are likely tired of entering dungeons.
I’ll honest, I rapidly gave up on attempting 100% completion.
There’s only so many times I can enter a small cave that’s been copied and pasted a gazillion times across the map to retrieve a bang average piece of loot I really don’t need.
Hopefully, in a potential sequel, we’ll see a great effort made to add variety to Hogwarts Legacy’s open world.

Considering that Hogwarts castle itself felt so wondrous and exquisitely detailed, it always seemed odd to me that the wider map was filled with so many repetitive caves and ruins.
Admittedly, a sequel is many years away considering one is yet to be formally announced, but you can currently expand your game on PC via the world of modding - particularly following the recent PC modding support update.
One such mod, titled ‘Sam’s Dungeon’, reimagines the dungeon experience, adding a welcomed new challenge for players.
You’ll need four playthroughs to see all of Hogwarts’ house common rooms. Why not sit back and enjoy the tour below?
Created by CurseForge user SGoldWB, ‘Sam’s Dungeon’ is, you guessed it, a new enemy-guarded dungeon that’ll task you with surviving several skirmishes and solving various puzzles if you want to make it to the loot inside.
The dungeon is located near to the hamlet of Upper Hogsfield, with the creator handily providing the exact in-game coordinates, X: 401183.16 Y: -578095.00 Z: -84348.65.
If that’s left you more confused than certain, there’s a map screenshot on the mod listing which’ll show you exactly where to head.
As for what treasure the dungeon contains, well, you’ll have to venture inside to find out.
I have to say, the detail inside this dungeon looks incredible. It actually feels like a space that tells a story, rather than a simple plain stone room used only to store an item like those we find across the map.
I’m sure we’ll see plenty more exciting mods surface following that aforementioned recent modding support update.
