Hogwarts Legacy is the most recent game inspired by the Harry Potter franchise and there is nothing better than exploring Hogwarts and its surrounding magical areas.

Released at the start of 2023, Hogwarts Legacy went on to become one of the best selling games of the year despite the controversy surrounding the RPG release.

Now over a year on and Avalanche Software recently released its summer update for the game and it is safe to say that fans were pretty disappointed.

With no major new content and only minimal cosmetics, players had been hoping for more than just a photo mode.

However, thanks to one modder, Hogwarts Legacy is about to get a whole lot more immersive.

Created by YouYouTheBoxx on Nexus Mods, First Person and Customisable Characters does just what it says on the tin and offers characters the chance to explore Hogwarts Legacy in first-person mode.

As a non-official mod, it doesn’t run overly smoothly but it can still be used for certain areas and will definitely add a more personal touch.

Additionally, the modder created this free download as a way to “fix” the camera being too close to the player in certain locations. This is especially seen when the player is in small buildings with a lot of walls.

Not only can it allow the player to enter first-person mode but pressing F6 will also bring up a settings menu.

This will show various camera settings which will also work alongside the game’s new photo mode.

Speaking of the brand-new photo mode, this enhancement mod makes your screenshots come out even better than before.

With rumours of a Hogwarts Legacy sequel being a live-service title, fans are flocking to petitions to stop this from happening.

Here’s hoping it won’t fall victim to the curse of microtransactions.
