The wizarding world of Hogwarts Legacy has never looked better thanks to a stunning mod you can try for yourself.

While Hogwart Legacy is full of magic and mystery, it’s the wizards in the real world putting the time and effort into making the game even more special, with one mod in particular making the experience more magical than ever.

You could settle for a graphical overhaul mod, one that reskins some of the rideable beasts into dragons, or if you’re particularly twisted, swap everyone’s wands for guns to make it a much darker experience. However, if you really want to push your gameplay to the next level with a fresh perspective, we highly recommend playing 2023’s best-selling game in VR.

Now this isn’t possible with Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch versions of the game, but if you’re on PC, there’s a handy tutorial online to make your game compatible with VR headsets bringing you closer to the magic than ever before.

Posted by Mick Manchester to YouTube, the tutorial shows the player taking a stroll through the game’s open world through a VR lens, and it looks spectacular. Hogwarts Legacy surprisingly lends itself quite well to a VR format, not skimping on the detail or immersion despite having a closer look at things than intended by the developers.

The mod even makes combat more exciting, with the player remarking that they fought a troll earlier in their playthrough.

If you went into Hogwarts Legacy to feel like an actual wizard attending the school of witchcraft and wizardry, this is definitely the mod for you, and as the tutorial demonstrates it's remarkably easy to set up.

While it won’t be winning any Game Awards this year, as it wasn’t nominated for any, at least players are still having fun with the game, and finding new and intuitive ways to enhance the magical experience.

Hogwarts Legacy is currently available on all current-gen platforms, and you can even grab the game at a discounted price right now thanks to the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals.
