2023 FromSoftware RPG Gets Massive Free Expansion

A FromSoftware action RPG from 2023 gets a massive free expansion mod that you can download for free right now.
To say that the year 2023 was an absolute banger for video game releases would be an understatement. In fact, some could fairly argue it was the best year for video game releases of all time.
Just to pick a few names from the proverbial hat, 2023 has given us the likes of Baldur’s Gate 3, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Resident Evil 4 remake, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and much more.
However, given how much of a stellar year 2023 was, there were a fair few games that may have also flown under the radar. Games such as Slay the Princess, the Dead Space remake, and Sea of Stars may not have got the commercial recognition they deserved.

Another game that may not have received fair commercial recognition is FromSoftware’s Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. To say that any FromSoftware game lacked recognition feels wild, considering the immense pedigree of the developer. But that’s just a testament to how great 2023 was.
As much of a fantastic game as Armored Core VI is, if you play on PC, you can benefit from the ever-vibrant modding community. Whether it’s graphical and performance improvements, bug fixes or, as is the case in this article, new content, the modding community has you covered.
One such mod is called ‘Frontiers F’, created by Froton_Mechanica, and it’s free to download now via GGMods.
“Frontier F is a mod unlike any other in the world right now, as it not only contains secret parts no other modder or dataminer has found yet, but it also has mechanics never before seen until now, as revealed in several of my YouTube videos,” the description of the mod reads.
In a nutshell, this mod adds new mechs, parts, abilities, new enemies and more. What makes this mod so special is that much of its contents have been unearthed from hidden files from the game's beta. So this content is as official as it gets, without being released by FromSoftware.
So, if you’re an Armored Core IV fan who plays on PC, looking for a new way to experience the game, then this could be the mod for you. However, as is the case with most mods, this is not available on the console version of the game.
