Stardew Valley’s latest fan-made Pokémon expansion adds all 151 original Pokémon to the game, and it’s a thing of beauty.
As far as cosy games go, you really can’t get much better than Stardew Valley. It’s the undisputed king of the cosy game space and fans, but it can always get cosier.
Fans have endeavoured to add a wealth of new content to the game now that its creator, Eric 'ConcernedApe’ Barone, has stopped dropping major expansions for it. Barone has since been working on a worthy follow-up game called Haunted Chocolatier. The fan creation we want to highlight today isn’t a new concept, but it’s certainly the best one we’ve seen. Introducing Pokémon Eggventure - Livestocks.
We say this isn’t a new concept because there are a few Pokémon mods for Stardew Valley when you start looking.
We’ve spoken about Pokémon Ranch before, but Pokémon Eggventure - Livestocks looks like the superior mod.

Created by Parme69, Pokémon Eggventure - Livestocks challenges players to “hunt Pokémon eggs across the valley — forage, mine, fish and more. Hatch them, raise Shinies and regional forms, evolve your Pokémon and craft with their resources. 151 to collect. Catch 'em all!”
151 Pokémon was a staggering number when the games first released for the Nintendo Game Boy, and while we’ve grown accustomed to hundreds more over the years, that original number is still as impressive today as it was back then.
In Stardew Valley, 151 new collectibles are worthy of an all-new playthrough, and that number doubles if you want to acquire the shinies like so many Pokémon trainers would.

As the title implies, it won’t be as simple as running through tall grass and tossing a Pokeball at the pocket monster you’re looking to collect.
The mod’s Pokémon hatch from eggs, and in order to help that process along, you’ll need to craft an incubator. The recipe will be unlocked as soon as your farm has a coop or barn.
Pokémon Eggventure’s description also states that you'll be able to raise your friendship level with each Pokémon, so any of your favourites can get special attention.
You’ll also be able to evolve your Pokémon to unlock their other forms, all while using whatever resources they give you to earn your farm more money. A Miltank or two, for instance, would be an excellent addition to any farm land.
At the time of writing, “This mod is currently in version 1.0,” and as such, there are likely a few tweaks needed before it’s perfect. Parme69 has asked for feedback on their creation, so changes “balancing and Pokémon egg drop rates” can be made.
This is genuinely one of the best mods we’ve seen for Stardew Valley, and there have been some bangers as of late.
If Pokémon Pokopia didn’t exist, we’d be asking for an official Nintendo Switch 2-exclusive Pokémon farming sim that looks like Stardew Valley.
Pokémon Eggventure - Livestocks is free to download from Nexus Mods right now, and we’d implore you to give it a go if you were planning on jumping back into the game anytime soon.
