A spooky sci-fi game is coming to Steam soon and it’s like Fallout and Death Stranding had a baby.

While it’s easy to get lost in the latest AAA game releases like Helldivers 2 and Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, you should always keep an eye on the potential rising stars, like this upcoming PC game.

We gave Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth a 10/10! Take a look at our video review below

The game is called A Silent Desolation, and it’s eerily similar to Death Stranding but with a bit of Fallout, and even some Silent Hill, mixed in for good measure.

Coming to Steam sometime in the future, the game’s description reads: “Stranded on Earth centuries after humanity's departure, A Silent Desolation, created by a single developer, immerses you in the mystery of an abandoned world. Craft, explore, and unravel the secrets of a forgotten Earth as you embark on a quest to repair a space shuttle launch base.”

While it sounds like just another post-apocalyptic survival game, the way it stands out from the crowd is through its atmosphere.

If you take a look at the screenshots and gameplay video it’s hard to not feel at least a little bit curious about the world you’ll be exploring.

Looking past the crafting and foraging for supplies the world is desolate and covered in fog, hence the SIlent Hill comparison.

The enemies look bizarre too, and while they’re incredibly threatening you can’t help but wonder what they are and what they’re doing here, as well as where all the humans flew off to.

From what we’ve seen so far A Silent Desolation looks like it’ll be a fine open-world survival RPG, but it also looks like it’ll be heavy on the in-game lore, with plenty of mysteries to solve provided players are keen to put the work into solving the mystery.

At the time of writing there’s no release date, but hopefully it launches sometime this year.
