If you ask a person what their favourite The Elder Scrolls game is, many of them would say The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.

However, with the Bethesda RPG now being over 20-years old, it is safe to say that it is pretty outdated.

Whilst we wait to see if Bethesda will work on an official remaster much like it did recently with the launch of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, one creator has taken matters into their own hands.

Thanks to InfernoPlus over on Youtube, we can now see what a modern-day The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind would look like.

However, that is not all as the modder has managed to convert the entire world of Morrowind into Elden Ring.

In a brand-new video which showcases this impressive feat, we can see some iconic Morrowind locations in Elden Ring’s engine.

The creator explains how this has been a labour of love and now that the project is just over halfway finished, it is finally starting to take shape.

As a result, the world map is now completely finished and you can head to the highest point of the map to take a look at Morrowind’s map.

The modder also explains how certain areas now have their very own weather systems and lighting and that the second half of the project is going to be dedicated to working on more of the finer details such as adding dialogue to NPCs and maybe even introducing voice acting.

As a result, there is no current release date for this untitled mod but those interested in playing The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind in Elden Ring can join the Discord channel to stay up to date.

Nevertheless, it seems as though fans are already feeling excited.

“Every once in a while you shatter the limits both on modding and commitment to an insane project. This is incredible,” one comment read.

Another added, “Holy sh*t, this is what the world needs.

I remember playing Dark Souls shortly after Skyrim (14 years ago--oh my god when did I get so old?) and thinking "I wish Skyrim's animation looked like this". I never dreamed it'd be Morrowind, though.”

Gaming really has come a long way.
