Dark Souls 3: Ashen Blood is the Bloodborne sequel we've been craving

Dark Souls 3: Ashen Blood is the Bloodborne sequel we've been craving

Two worlds collide to make one incredible experience

Even though we’ve all been waiting for a Bloodborne remake, there’s one game that tops our need to see that happen: a Bloodborne sequel.

Some would argue that a Bloodborne sequel isn’t necessary, or that it runs the risk of disappointing its fans. To those we say, check out Dark Souls 3: Ashen Blood. This expansion for the third Dark Souls game feels and plays like the Bloodborne sequel many have begged for.

Ashen Blood is a single-player focused, Bloodborne-adjacent overhaul mod that alters gameplay, weapons, enemies, map design, visual effects, bosses, and more! [...] Thanks for playing, and don't give up, skeleton!”

Let's add some humour into the mix with some Dark souls funny wins and fails

Those who’ve tested the early stages of this mod have only great things to say. “I unironically think this mod has the potential to be the the best souls experience we've got so far. Looks very promising. I enjoyed every single minute of the beta.”

The same fan went on to say, “If you manage to fine tune this and include some Bloodborne bosses and monsters as well (especially the DLC ones), I'd happily take this over any other title. I absolutely love Bloodborne, but DS3 has infinitely better bosses overall, if you ask me, and if you can manage to merge Bloodborne's foggy grotesque atmosphere and top-notch combat system and weapons with Dark Souls 3's world and bosses, I think we'll have absolutely nothing left to ask for.”

High praise indeed.

As of right now, this mod isn’t finished. However, the modder who’s lovingly creating it provides regular updates on how this massive project is going. It’s already a winner in many peoples’ eyes, so we expect to see even more compliments once it’s released in full.
