A new Cyberpunk 2077 graphics overhaul is doing the rounds online, and it’s making the game look like a PS6 title.

Cyberpunk 2077 is probably one of the best looking games of all time, and that can be attributed to the absolute magic that CD Projekt RED has been able to conjure in getting it all fixed up since its original botched launch.

I’m sure it’s more than likely that the game will get a next-gen patch for whenever the next console generation arrives too. And thanks to a new graphics overhaul, we now may be able to see what that might look like.

As uploaded by YouTuber Digital Dreams, a digital artist with a focus on graphics overhauls for PC games, Cyberpunk 2077 with path tracing mods and other little improvements basically transforms the game into a next-gen experience.

Take a look for yourself if you’d like to see how the game looks with the mods installed.

This version of the game is running at 4K resolution and reaches framerates of over 90.

Of course, don’t expect to run this on your average PC. Digital Dreams is running this on a RTX 5090, with 64GB of RAM and a Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor. That’s a very beefy machine costing thousands of pounds.

It's also not necessarily something intended for active gameplay. Many of Digital Dreams' videos focus on showing off the graphics and details, but aren't recommended if you're playing the game due to various performance issues.

However, give it another five years or so and the average console or PC might be able to run something that looks close to this.

Therefore, it’s a sign of what’s to come in future console generations.

We don’t have confirmation about when the PS6 will launch yet, though we have had a few hints at Sony in the last couple of months that have given us small details about what the console will be like.
