A free Cyberpunk 2077 download that you can claim today will change the way you play the critically acclaimed sci-fi RPG.

It may have taken a while for it to get here, but as of right now, CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the best sci-fi RPGs that you can play today.

From its deadly yet somewhat glamorous, neon-lit Night City and intriguing cast of characters, to its many memorable missions, there’s a lot to love about Cyberpunk 2077.

In Cyberpunk 2077, you play as V, a nobody that takes the opportunity to climb the criminal ranks of Night City, not only aided by friends (and sometimes enemies), V also takes advantage of augmentations that can turn just about anyone into a superhero or a villain, as long as they have the credits to do so.

All in all, depending on your playstyle, according to HowLongToBeat.com, it can take anywhere between 25 to 100+ hours to get through Cyberpunk 2077, and that’s not even taking into account its expansion, Phantom Liberty.

But what can you get up to once you’ve finished all that Cyberpunk 2077 seemingly has to offer? Well, if you’re a PC gamer, there’s a whole host of mods that you can check out, some of which can breathe new life into the game.

One such mod is called ‘Dark Future - Urban Survival Gameplay’, created by DarkFortuneTeller, and it’s free to download now via NexusMods.

“Dark Future is a comprehensive urban survival, gameplay, and immersion mod for Cyberpunk 2077,” reads its description. “It provides new gameplay challenges and encourages engaging in the world around you in order to stay physically and mentally fit. Dark Future greatly incentivises returning to one of your apartments to periodically rest and relax.”

Sadly, as is the nature of most mods, ‘Dark Future’ is a PC deal only. For the rest of us, we can play Cyberpunk 2077 as intended on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2.
