The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time is one of the greatest games ever made, and fans are doing God’s work in remaking it on PC.

Don't expect it to go public any time soon though, and when it does you can practically guarantee Nintendo is going to hit it with a cease and desist.

If Nintendo just remade Zelda: Ocarina Of Time itself we wouldn’t need fan projects like this though… ah well, maybe the Nintendo Switch 2 will deliver what we want

Despite not being able to play this new-and-improved Zelda though, we can still look at it in awe, via CryZENx’s YouTube channel which provides new gameplay videos every now and again.

There’s one of Link exploring Kakariko Village both during the day and night, and it looks bloody gorgeous.

Personally I think the nighttime bits are a little too dark as you can’t see much, but it does show off how impressive the lighting is thanks to it being made with Unreal Engine 5.

As you can imagine fans of the game in the comments were equally amazed, and praised the creator’s efforts and commitment.

“True hero of Hyrule is making this game” read the top comment of the video, and I wholeheartedly agree, it’s looking great so far.

Others took it as an opportunity to show game studios what fans actually want from remakes, saying “I wish developers understood this is what we want for all the classic games we loved. No reimagining, no changes to the game play, just modern visuals.”

While I mostly agree I do think there needs to be some wiggle room for gameplay changes, after all Zelda: Ocarina Of Time still holds up but some of the controls can feel a little dated if you didn’t play it when it first released.

Hopefully one day Nintendo locks in and gives us the Nintendo Switch 2 remake we’ve been waiting for, I doubt it though.
