New Pokémon game quietly teased by insider

The future is looking bright

The future of Pokémon is looking bright as one insider has some hints about more future projects.

With the first Pokémon game releasing way back in 1996, we are fast approaching its 30th anniversary and fans are eager to hear what is next for the creature-catching series.

From multiple games, movies, television shows and merchandise, it has been difficult to avoid the Japanese franchise over the years so it is no wonder that insiders are teasing its future.

One insider in particular, Riddler Khu, is infamous for well, their riddles and more recently, they have taken to Twitter to share some about upcoming Pokémon projects.

We already know that Pokémon Legends: Z-A is on its way some time in 2025 and will be part of the ninth generation of Pokémon video games.

Set within Lumiose City, this entry will launch on the Nintendo Switch next year.

“A new adventure awaits within Lumiose City, where an urban redevelopment plan is underway to shape the city into a place that belongs to both people and Pokémon,” the official teaser reads.

Codenamed Ikkaku, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is confirmed but what will follow is still a mystery.

However, thanks to a hint by Riddler Khu, many believe it will finally be time for the start of Generation 10.

The hint, posted earlier today simply includes the high-five (or prayer) emoji with the words: “new project hint”.

As you can imagine, the comments were soon filled with Pokémon fans making their guesses but it seems as though the majority believe this represents gen ten.

With The Pokémon Company not yet confirming the next generation, this hint should be taken with a pinch of salt.

However, it has to happen someday so why not after the release of Pokémon Legends: Z-A?
