The Johto games are some of the most beloved titles in the series, and fans are dying to see them on Nintendo Switch either as remakes or ports.

While Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl disappointed players with its arguably worse visuals and lack of post-game content it hasn’t diminished interest for more remakes.

Take a look at those two games below

On the top of players’ lists are remakes of Pokémon Gold & Silver which is currently nearing its anniversary date, making it prime time for an announcement if The Pokémon Company has anything cooking up.

Fans took to Reddit to discuss how much of a no-brainer it’d be to have the games on the Nintendo Switch, as well as all of the other classic games whether it be as an anthology title or simply porting them to Nintendo Switch Online.

PepsiMan208 made a post simply stating “I need to play Johto on the switch” along with that classic meme of Fry from Futuruma saying “shut up and take my money.”

Of course there were loads of fans to agree, but some are wary of what a remake could look like especially after the aforementioned Gen IV remakes.

One fan said a monkey paw scenario would be their wish is granted but “you get a Let's Go Johto game,” which wouldn’t be the worst outcome as many did enjoy Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee, but personally I think Johto deserves more.

“If they remake those games, I’m done for. I’ll lose my job. I’m gonna turn in my belt because I won’t have time for Jiu Jitsu. I’ll cancel my gym membership and stop ordering supplements. I’ll have to divorce my wife” said a very enthusiastic fan.

Honestly it’d be a no-brainer for Nintendo and The Pokémon Company to bring these games back, and frankly it’s amazing that they haven’t already.
