Nintendo Switch 2 release date massively narrowed down if you wanna get saving

This is about as legit a confirmation as we'll get until pre-orders go live

A former Nintendo employee has spilled the beans on all things Nintendo Switch 2, including when it is likely to hit store shelves.

Thank you in advance to Eurogamer's Ed Nightingale for the original story (per the Kit & Krysta podcast).

As revealed on the Kit & Krysta podcast, a YouTube series by the eponymous duo who used to be Nintendo of America employees, the Nintendo Switch 2 will likely drop in June.

This info comes from a fella named Sean, a former sales lead for Nintendo of America who appeared on the show. We don’t actually know too much about Sean but assumedly he does have a last name, unless this is a Beyoncé sort of situation

"They're going to want the system to be out before the end of the summer… I would say at the start of the summer - end of school year, so you've got the kids in school talking about what they're excited for,” Sean told Kit & Krysta.

Take a look at the console's original reveal.

"I think we'll see a June launch, I'm thinking probably mid-June, maybe a little bit later than that. But definitely before the end of the summer that thing's coming out."

This does line up with the Nintendo Direct that's set to air on 2 April this year, as assumedly pre-orders for the new console will go live during its conclusion.

While we don’t actually know too much about “Sean”, we do know a decent bit about the hosts Kit Ellis and Krysta Yang - and their background does actually legitimise Sean’s claims.

Kit and Krysta used to host Nintendo Minute, which was an official Nintendo of America-produced YouTube series that showcased new and upcoming Nintendo titles.

Basically, they’re legit, and if they vouch for Sean (having worked with him in the past), then you can take his word at face value.
