Nintendo Switch 2 'affordable' price posted by retailer

Pretty reasonable, if it's real

The Nintendo Switch 2’s price may have been leaked by a Costco of all places, and the price seems pretty reasonable too.

Nintendo’s next console is all the rage at the moment as we wait for the official Nintendo Direct to show us more of its features, and potentially its games.

There’s a good chance the next Direct will just cover the hardware itself, either way it’s a win as we finally know what it looks like

Nintendo is yet to confirm when it’s dropping or how much it’ll be, but a lucky few will be able to go hands-on with it over the next few months and the price will likely be announced during the next Direct.

A random Costco employee may have beaten the company to it though, as an internal product listing reported on by NintendoWire was shared online stating the Nintendo Switch 2 will cost $499.99 CAD, about $350 USD.

Not a bad asking price all things considered, and of course it will be priced differently for the UK when exchange rates are considered.

Of course we need to take it with a pinch of salt as there’s no confirmation it’s legitimate, but compared to other consoles like the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 it does sound plausible.

We know the Nintendo Switch 2 will be more powerful than its predecessor, but likely less powerful than the latest Xbox or PlayStation consoles, after all why would it need to match them when the games are so different?

Personally I’d be fine paying around £350 for the next Nintendo console, the absolute highest price being £400, anything above that I’d consider a mistake regardless of what games are coming to the platform.

The next Nintendo Direct is scheduled for April of this year, so we’ll likely learn the price of the console then.
