Who doesn’t love an adorable freebie? Nintendo is great at offering up lovely little rewards for just owning a Nintendo Switch.

This week there’s a great selection of Nintendo Switch Online icons to grab and personalise your profile, all based on Nintendo Switch Sports.

We are very excited to play Metroid Prime Remastered coming soon from Nintendo

If you’re unsure what I’m talking about, allow me to break it down for you. Nintendo Switch Online offers points for completing certain tasks.

These tasks vary and you can find them under ‘Missions and Rewards’ in the Nintendo Switch Online app.

Here you can unlock lots of profile icons, frames, and backgrounds in order to personalise your Switch icon at the top of your screen. It’s also what other players see when you play online.

In order to celebrate the sports game that everyone loves, Nintendo is offering up several icons including some that showcase characters playing various sports, or the sporting equipment themselves.

Each icon is bold and colourful, as you’d expect from Nintendo and any of them would look great as your profile picture.

Among these, you can find the usual Nintendo mascots such as Mario, Luigi, Kirby, and more, though they do rotate in and out of the offers regularly.

Whenever a new game is released, or teased, you’ll be able to find a new array of icons to claim. Some players devote themselves to collecting as many of these as they can.

It’s a great way to add some flair to your profile or show off your favourite game, or just the game you’re playing right now.

It’s worth noting that some of these icon parts can be exclusive to Nintendo Switch Online and the Expansion Pack, which costs extra, but unlocks a wealth of retro Nintendo games to play.

I tend to always be rocking my favourite characters on my profile. Why not give it a go, or show your kids how to express themselves through this feature?
