Rumours are swirling that a Nintendo Direct is imminent, and this means that more Switch 2 games could be revealed, getting fans excited, especially those who love Animal Crossing.
While a new Animal Crossing game isn’t part of that rumour, we all take it for granted that Nintendo is working on a new version of the game, as they know it will sell more consoles, and carry on the legacy franchise.
It’s no surprise that Animal Crossing fans are building up their hopes that we get to see a sneak peek of what Nintendo has been cooking up.
Who knows what kind of direction Nintendo will go with the series, but it will likely become a bestseller instantly, though let’s not forget that the Covid-19 pandemic fuelled a lot of the excitement about the last outing.

Over on Reddit, when talking about the possibility of a Nintendo Direct, long-time Animal Crossing fans are eager to see more, and are expressing their excitement.
“Rumor is they’re ending the direct with a new Animal Crossing announcement,” said TheS00thSayer, who continued to remind everyone, “and, next year is the 25th anniversary for Animal Crossing”.
“Just give me Animal Crossing - please and thank you,” replied cxtx3, politely.
We can only imagine how Nintendo plans to implement Game Chat and mouse functionality for the next Animal Crossing game, and it could end up being the biggest outing in the franchise.

Fans are convinced we’ll see something soon, with another Redditor saying, “Rumour has it Isabelle shows up at the end to title announce the new Animal Crossing.”
Is this all false hope? Or will we see something revealed soon?
Personally, I’d love to see Animal Crossing, but if we do, it’ll likely be some time yet, as we’re on the verge of a new Tomodachi Life, which would be a strong competitor.
