GTA VI is due a second trailer any day now, and fans are expecting big things including a proper look at the gameplay.

The first trailer understandably broke the internet for a bit, largely because it was leaked ahead of the planned announcement time but mostly because it looked bloody good.

Ever since the trailer dropped though fans have expressed disappointment that it didn’t really show much in terms of the game we’ll actually be playing.

There were cutscenes and shots of the open-world but a game can be as pretty as it likes, it’s how the gameplay looks and feels that’ll give the majority playing.

From the sound of things the next trailer we’ll fix that, giving us a closer look at how the game will work and some of the things we can do in Vice City and the surrounding areas.

GTA V accomplished this in spades in its marketing material, and I’ll always remember the trailer showing off parachuting and being amazed at how big Los Santos actually looked.

Rockstar’s last game was Red Dead Redemption 2, which was praised for how alive its open-world felt and a new tease for GTA VI suggests it’ll blow that game out of the water with its realism.

Former Rockstar Games designer, Ben Hinchliffe, teased IGN “from a theoretical standpoint, and what you might be able to do if you had the budget and the team size, I don’t see any reason why you couldn’t have that [Red Dead Redemption 2] level of NPC interaction in a much larger scale game.”

Just imagine hundreds of NPCs wandering around all engaging in conversation, reacting to each other’s movements and more, as it sounds like that’ll be the reality of GTA VI.

With so many possibilities the release date couldn’t come sooner, but nothing has changed since the Fall 2025 announcement.
