GTA VI’s first trailer will be officially shared in December, and fans are certain it’ll smash internet records.

A few days ago Rockstar Games announced it’ll soon be celebrating its 25th anniversary, an incredible milestone all thanks to the fans who’ve supported the company over the years.

After sharing its gratitude, Rockstar confirmed that a first look at the highly anticipated GTA VI is on the way, premiering in December.

This was thrilling news for fans, especially after months of speculation and theorising when a trailer would eventually drop. October was believed to be the most likely time, since GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 were both announced that month as well, but unfortunately, October came and went without a reveal.

It all worked out in the end though, as it’s only a matter of weeks before we get to see GTA VI with our own eyes, and hopefully confirm if all the gameplay leaks and rumours about the graphics, gameplay, and open world were actually true.

As fans wait, many are anticipating the trailer will be one of the most viewed videos in history when it airs on YouTube, potentially smashing all previously held records.

Reddit user Intelligent-Cycle366 posed a question to fans, asking “How much will the first GTA 6 trailer on YouTube/X collect in the first 24 hours?” They went on to share some figures from other major YouTube trailer premieres, most notably the Marvel films Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Other fans were confident GTA VI will easily smash the records, especially given the immense popularity of the series, and all the hype around the game’s release so far.

One said: “Given how many people viewed just the tweet, I think the trailer is going to cross 50 million views in the first few days easily.”

Then someone else said: “YouTube alone will be insane in the first 8 hours. I’ll say at least 20-30 million views in that time frame.”

Another added: “On YouTube, 100 million+.”

The only thing to do now is patiently wait for the trailer to drop in December, which many believe will happen either on Rockstar’s official social media channels or as a surprise during The Game Awards.
