A new “DLC sized mod” for Fallout 4 has been announced, and we’re quite excited about what it’s going to include.

This isn’t content that’s close to being released, before you get your hopes up.

However, while it may not be ready yet, when it is, you’re certain to find yourselves falling back in love with Fallout. Assuming you ever stopped loving the franchise in the first place.

Redditor SquireTheMad posted about the huge mod on the Fallout 4 subreddit saying, “Journey into the northwest in this DLC sized mod, where a fully-fledged kingdom has risen from the nuclear wastes, deep in the Saratoga Wasteland.”

New to Fallout? Here's what you need to do

The OP shares quite a few details about what will happen on your journey, without spoiling it, of course.

Consequently, we’re not about to simply copy and paste everything.

There’s no fun in that.

What we will reveal is that you’ll need to be level eight or higher before you can start the DLC.

What is more, this extension will be “fully voiced”.

Even without going into all the details shared, it’s clear that this is an intense project, and not one for the fainthearted.

“Sounds really cool! Must be very involved. So that's a custom WorldSpace object map we're looking at in the last two pictures? This is a lot of work!” said interruptiom.

User TeaBags0614 commented, “Ooo, it’s really cool to see such a project!”

You won’t be left with nothing to do while you wait for this new content though, for the year of 2025 will be crammed full of Fallout experiences courtesy of Bethesda.

We’ll soon forget all about Fallout 5. And even if you don’t, you’ll be kept busy until Fallout 5 is released.

There are also many secrets to still find in the older games, like this Fallout 3 hidden quest that most of us previously missed.

We'll always have something to return to the wastes for.
