Elden Ring 2 quietly teased as FromSoftware prepares for the future

Elden Ring 2 quietly teased as FromSoftware prepares for the future

Could Elden Ring 2 be happening?

Elden Ring is an incredible game and, for some of us, we’re not quite finished exploring it yet. However, that isn’t going to stop teases for a sequel coming our way. Buckle up, because the future for this franchise is looking closer than before as the devs prepare for the next adventure.

Before you get yourselves too hyped about this, we want to emphasise the word “teased”; although FromSoftware has mentioned that some lore “clarifications and reveals” are being saved for future games, this doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be revealed in a sequel, or that a sequel is happening.

Still, all evidence thus far suggests that a sequel is the next logical step in this fantasy RPG. “That's very exciting,” posted one gamer, before adding, “Even if it is a mistranslation and he is referring to DLC, it's good to know they are planning more for the future. I'm wondering if Shadow of the Erdtree will actually end up being closer to a "sequel" in terms of size and content.”

Even if this tease is referring to upcoming DLC instead of the sequel we’re all waiting for, it still shows that FromSoftware has great plans for Elden Ring. “The fact that Elden Ring will be almost/over two years old when they drop it probably means that it'll be gigantic,” shared one fan.

Of course, before the sequel comes, if it’s coming at all, there’s still plenty of mysteries still to discover – like the “friendly dog” that has left many gamers mystified during their playthroughs. Surprisingly, that mystery might have been solved, though just to be sure it’s worth taking a look at for yourselves.

If mysteries don’t interest you, you could always “melt your PC” by witnessing a graphical overhaul that will impress everyone who lays eyes on it. Otherwise, you can stick with the vanilla game and try to brush up on your lore until a sequel is announced.
