Steam has just dropped a new free psychological horror game that has been called “unique and fun” by players.
Office Hours is a brand new game by developer Pipoteam which is set in the workplace, and has some creepy psychological horror undertones to it.
Created in the span of about seven months and published on Steam, the whole game is about an hour long, and will have you navigating a rather sinister office space.
The game features a mix of 3D environments with 2D sprites for the characters, and the blend of both styles seems to work really well at creating an unsettling atmosphere.

“Sort forms, get to know your mysterious new colleagues & unravel mysteries they're trying to cover up as you step in to replace the previous RH at this mysterious pharmaceutical company,” reads the blurb on Office Hours.
It essentially feels like a mix of Papers, Please and I Am Not A Human, where your job is to sort report forms into their correct files while also following a careful set of instructions which are emailed to you each day.
Meanwhile, your colleagues will try to come and bother you as your day goes on, but you’re encouraged to not give into the pressure, even if tempted to speak to them.

You’ll also have to navigate through a panel of in-game applications, like e-mails, employee databases, personal notes, and corporate propaganda to make your choices easier and to keep up with corporate vision.
Those who have already played through the game have a lot of good things to say about it.
“Even though it's pretty short and can finish it in one sitting, 40 mins at best, the game is unique and fun,” reads one Steam review for Office Hours. “Can't wait for content and story for this game, as the characters are pretty fun too. Excited to see what comes next.”
“Well, is it a game? A cry for help from people who don't want to end up working for huge corporations? I don't know, but I had fun with the 5-10-minute playthrough. The only thing I can say for sure is that it has the potential to be something like ‘Doki Doki Literature Club’. Hope to see more,” reads another review.
“I liked the idea and the game mechanics. Although it was short, it was pretty fun. Hopefully, more content or an extension of some kind will come in the future,” a third review reads.
As others have said, the game only lasts around 40 minutes to an hour, so it’s something you could probably play during a lunch break or on an evening while killing some time.
There’s also one achievement to earn, which is for apparently opening the game, so completionists can also get an easy 100% here.
If you want to check out Office Hours now, you can do so by going to the Steam store page and downloading it for free from there.
