A new Harry Potter RPG has been confirmed for a Summer release. Happy days!

Developed by Avalanche Software, Hogwarts Legacy is an action RPG and is considered to be one of the best video games to release this year. What’s more, it’s also one of the more commercially successful games too by not only outselling the lifetime sales of Elden Ring in just five weeks, but it has also made more money than most Harry Potter movies.

So, it only makes sense that publisher Warner Bros. Games will want to bring us even more Harry Potter goodness, right? Well, that’s exactly what we’re going to get. The new RPG in question is the collectible card game RPG, Harry Potter: Magic Awakened.

According to WizardingWorld.com, in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened: “you’ll play as a young witch or wizard starting at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry,” which seems to have a story premise similar to that of Hogwarts Legacy.

Harry Potter: Magic Awakened will offer character customisation, learn new skills that can be cast in the form of battle cards during duels, and you’ll also not only be able to battle characters and creatures offline but take on other players via online multiplayer.

What’s more, you’ll also be able to explore the halls of Hogwarts and beyond, such as the streets of Diagon Alley, you can join your favourite House, brew potions, even partake in a spot of Quidditch, and much more.

As reported by GamingonPhone.com, Harry Potter: Magic Awakened was initially released in China in September 2021, but now it's coming to the West this summer. It will be available for PC, Android and iOS, and you can even pre-register now to be rewarded with bonus DLC.

Magic Awakened is not the only new Harry Potter game on the way, because we’re also being treated to Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions for PC and consoles. At this time, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions does not have a release date, but recently leaked gameplay has amazed fans.

In other news, the Hogwarts Legacy release date on Nintendo Switch has just been delayed again, this time by four months. For everyone else, Hogwarts Legacy is available now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
