New Batman game leaks online, but it's not an Arkham sequel

Fans of LEGO and fans of Batman can unite once more as a recent rumour reveals that a brand-new LEGO Batman game is on the way.

This is definitely one for fans of Batman in all of his various iterations as not only will it combine LEGO with the world of the caped crusader but it is also rumours that this time around, the game will be heavily inspired by multiple movies featuring the man himself.

“(RUMOR) The next LEGO Game by TT Games is heavily rumored to be a Movie Based Batman title that will span multiple movies across the Caped Crusader’s career,” a Tweet on the LEGO Games News Twitter account reads.

“It is reported to potentially be revealed next month at Gamescom ONL on August 19th.”

Until now, there have been three LEGO Batman games, including some spin-offs, but fans have been eager for a fourth entry for quite some time now.

Luckily, it seems as though one is finally on the way and may even be inspired by some hit Batman movies such as Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy, Matt Reeves’ The Batman and maybe even The LEGO Batman Movie.

This would of course depend on the kind of tone the movie will take with previous films such as The Dark Knight and The Batman being a lot darker than The LEGO Batman Movie for example.

Nevertheless, the movie is reportedly set to be released and may even hit cinemas as early as 2026. However, it is worth remembering that this has not been officially confirmed so it is worth taking with a pinch of salt.

That being said, it has not stopped potential fans from coming forward with their thoughts over the rumour.

“Would be great if so,” user Snickerdoodle shared.

“Far from a new opinion to see, but the Batman games were some of the best in TT’s gallery.

Having one build on the positives & criticisms of the Skywalker Saga, while also being inspired by Batman movies for a change, could be extremely fun.”
