Need For Speed Underground 2 looks flawless thanks to this gorgeous remaster, which you can try for yourself right now.
We sorely miss the Need For Speed series, as while Gran Turismo and Forza are both fantastic racing series in their own right itâs nice to have a bit more variety.
While there are rumours that Need For Speed is coming back at some point for now weâre in the dark, but this gorgeous Unreal Engine 5 remaster of Need For Speed Underground 2 is good enough for now.

Gameplay of the fan-made remaster was shared to YouTube and it didnât take long for fans to spot it, sharing their thoughts on Reddit.
âAfter watching the video covering the fan-made "Remastered" mod for Underground 2 in Unreal Engine 5, I can honestly say it looks great, and has potential. I know not everyone is a big fan of the Unreal Engine 5 look, but in my opinion it's cool to see NFSU2 with some more "modern" looking graphicsâ read DaGuwopâs take on the game.
Fans in the comments of both the Reddit post and the aforementioned YouTube video agreed, once again proving the gamers yearn for more Need For Speed, itâs only a matter of time before the right people hear itâŚ
The creatorâs of the remaster have said the full thing will be released by the end of 2025, hopefully that remains the case.

If you want a new Need For Speed game the best way to make it happen is kick up a fuss online and hope EA is listening.
A similar tactic is underway with Star Wars Battlefront, as thousands of players are demanding Star Wars Battlefront 3 following a mass revival of Star Wars Battlefront 2.
Letâs hope a new Need For Speed game is on the cards then, I think we could all benefit from one.
