Details on the upcoming instalment of Need For Speed have been leaking online for quite some time now. The title was previously delayed by a year so that developers could assist on Battlefield 2042. Knowing how Battlefield 2042 turned out, I dread to think what the game would’ve looked like if extra hands weren’t drafted in.

I digress. Last month, leaked gameplay footage appeared to confirm new jump animations, whilst insiders also claimed that speedcross will return. Well, we now know that the game is set to be officially revealed by EA tomorrow, on 6 October, but it appears to have leaked online already.

Looking for something similar to Need For Speed? Check out the trailer for Wreckreation below.

Leaker Wario64 has revealed the game’s title, Need For Speed Unbound, over on Twitter after finding official artwork for the game on EA’s website. The artwork was swiftly removed by EA. There’s not much to glean from the leak other than the title, but the artwork does feature various symbols which match those that we’ve previously seen in the leaked gameplay animations. Fellow leaker Nibellion has since tweeted a number of proposed screenshots from the title.

According to a report seen by GameSpot, Need For Speed Unbound will be revealed in a 90-second trailer. The game is set to be a multiplayer-focused title, introducing ‘meet-ups’ where players can sync up and compete against one another.

It’s believed that Need For Speed Unbound will be new-gen only, releasing to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The trailer will officially be released tomorrow, 6 October, at 4PM BST.
