Max Payne 3 gets jaw-dropping remaster you can download free now

The hit Max Payne instalment may be quite outdated when it comes to graphical performance but one fan has given the Rockstar title a complete overhaul at no cost to users.
Released in 2012 as the third entry to the series with the same name, Max Payne 3 is a third-person shooter title developed and published by Rockstar Games.

Receiving highly positive reviews from critics and players alike, the third instalment went on to receive multiple accolades and remains something of a cult classic even to this day.
That is why fans are eager for a remaster and luckily, there is now one available for absolutely free.
Max Payne HD is a HD texture pack for Max Payne 3 released by MDSXXX1 on Nexus Mods.
This is the latest version of the modder’s texture pack and as a result, it comes in at a whopping 20GB.
However, the pack offers upscaled textures of the original/vanilla ones and rather than use AI tools to achieve this, the creator has used custom textures.
Due to this, textures may vary from the ones used in the original Max Payne 3.

As you can see, the changes are pretty minor but the overall look of the new textures brings a new lease of life to the 2012 title.
In other Max Payne related news, fans of the series will be pleased to know that Max Payne and Max Payne 2 remakes are now entering full development.
Not only is it exciting news but it also begs the question as to who will be the next voice of the titular character.
