It seems that Mass Effect is having a minor comeback via Battlefield 2042, as the shooter will feature a crossover between both games via DLC.
Both franchises owned by EA are having a crossover event that will see Mass Effect skins brought to the shooter franchise, with N7 armour skins, and weapons that will look familiar to long-time fans of the action RPG.
While Battlefield 2042 got off to a rough start, with a poor launch that left players wanting, it has improved over the years as the developers stuck to their guns and kept updating the experience.

Years later, Battlefield 2042 now has a solid playerbase, and still attracts new fans who want to drop in and battle it out.
Now, EA and DICE are bringing over Mass Effect skins in the hopes of tempting even more players to enjoy the battles, and spend a few pennies.
There aren’t many images of the additions, aside from the armour and a few gun skins, and there’s no focus on any individual characters, as yet.
Whether this is something that appears later down the line, perhaps with armour that is based on some of our favourite Mass Effect cast members, we’ll have to wait and see.

The DLC will be released in two major bundles, with a third that combines everything into one giant pack.
The crossover is planned for 17 June - oh hey, that’s today - and can be found when you next play.
This is sure to be a big event for fans of both games, and seeing as there’s no news on the next Mass Effect game, this will just have to do, for now.
Seriously, EA, can we get a teaser, a trailer, some story exploration, please?

Now would be the perfect time to drop any news, especially as the TV show inspired by the game is ramping up production.
