Mass Effect fans lose it over new trailer: 'it's Andromeda done right'

Mass Effect fans lose it over new trailer: 'it's Andromeda done right'

Buckle in for a wild ride

I have to admit, I am really excited for Exodus. And it seems fans of Mass Effect are too, mostly because a lot of the old development team have jumped over to Archetype Entertainment to create this sci-fi epic.

It looks like Mass Effect, but brought into a new universe and the team are playing with things like time dilation to age certain characters, which should be fascinating.

Exodus is shaping up to be an exciting sci-fi adventure

Fans of Mass Effect are discussing the game over on Reddit, and the excitement is beginning to grow after Exodus showed off its first gameplay trailer and was featured on Amazon’s Secret Level anthology series.

“I am much more excited for Exodus than I am for ME4. I hope Archetype at least treats their writers better than Bioware does,” said one fan.

Another fan picks up on details in the cinematics shown, so far, “The CG trailer made me teary eyed, they're going to hurt us badly with their story telling.”

I’m personally getting quite invested in the lore behind Exodus as my favourite sci-fi author, Peter F. Hamilton has written a novel based on the game, and he has a follow-up coming soon.

And it seems Mass Effect fans are picking up on this too - “The ideas behind the lore are great,” says Saandrig.

The Secret Level episode, which showed how time dilation works in universe has sparked more interest from players with one saying, “The Secret Level episode was really good and made me interested.”

Hopefully, 2025 brings a lot more information and trailers for this game as it’s lining up to be one of my most anticipated games.

With top ex-BioWare talent on the team and a vision of a sci-fi future like this, it seems Exodus could be a slam dunk and exactly what fans of Mass Effect, and good sci-fi, need.
