New Spider-Man Trilogy Is Coming With Tom Holland Confirmed

New Spider-Man Trilogy Is Coming With Tom Holland Confirmed

Miles Morales, this is your time to shine...

In spite of the ever-rising stakes of the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holland isn’t hanging up his hat as Marvel Studios has confirmed that the actor is on board for another three movies.

Amy Pascal, who produced Into The Spider-Verse, Homecoming and Far From Home among a number of other Marvel movies, spoke to Fandango about the future of our friendly neighbourhood superhero. "I would say that it's the culmination of the Homecoming trilogy, of the story of Tom Holland becoming the Spider-Man that we've all been waiting for him to be," said Pascal of the "ambitious" and "intimate" journey that the newest trilogy has woven for new and old fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

With villains like Doc Ock, Electro, Sandman and Lizard appearing from their own universes to jeopardise not only the set structure of the timelines but everything that Peter Parker holds dear, it sounds like this will be the ultimate Spider-Man movie. I mean, how do you follow up this hype? Pascal has a plan. "This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel – [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie," clarified the producer.

"We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel, it just isn't part of… we're thinking of this as three films, and now we're going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies," she reiterated. If you ask the GAMINGbible team, we reckon this would be an amazing opportunity for Miles Morales to step into the spotlight. Tom Holland playing Peter Parker is a part of the next chapter of Spider-Man on the silver screen, but we can't help to notice that none of what Pascal says suggests that Holland is front and centre.

Space Jam: A New Legacy actor Cedric Joe is keen to play Miles Morales, and I imagine he's one of hundred of other actors who'd be lining up outside the studio once a casting call is published. Swapping to Miles Morales would also tie into the path that the games have taken - Marvel's Spider-Man 2 sees Peter and Miles encountering Venom and Kraven the Hunter. "If the first Spider-Man game was Star Wars, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is kind of our Empire Strikes Back," said Marvel Games creative vice-president Bill Rosemann. "It gets darker."
