Anyone remember when details on GTA VI were leaked by someone working at the Rockstar Games office?

Rockstar Games has done an admirable job of keeping GTA VI a closely guarded secret, and the lengths the company has probably gone to in order to prevent leaks likely surpasses any other game.

Of course, that first trailer for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto was leaked ahead of time, so you best believe Rockstar is keeping a close eye on the next one.

Fans have gone to equally wild lengths though to expose details on the game, from any source imaginable, even office cleaners…

That’s right an ex-office cleaner who worked in the Rockstar Games office supposedly leaked details on GTA VI ages ago, even saying the game’s release date at the time was September 2025.

Their since-deleted account read: “The map looked huge, I saw it on a monitor briefly as I was walking past one of the devs, it looked like there were 2-3 big clusters of roads which I’m assuming were cities/towns.”

They went on to say: “I also saw some art for the game, with Jason and Lucia standing beside each other. Jason had a sawed-off, black bandana on, pointing a gun at the store clerk. Lucia had a pistol, red bandana on, filling a duffel bag with liquor from behind the till.”

At the moment, we can’t say if this is real or not, but with the game’s marketing campaign likely kicking in over the next few months and hopefully the release date revealed too, there’s a slim chance they might be telling the truth.

That said, they did admit Rockstar was very secretive about its current project, with staff even having screen protectors on their monitors in order to keep prying eyes in the dark. Take it with a pinch of salt for now but you never know, maybe that cleaner was onto something.
