Out of all the exciting announcements to come from last month’s Star Wars Celebration, from Jedi: Survivor and Andor both getting their first trailers, to the confirmation of Liam Neeson’s return as Qui-Gon Jinn, no doubt the one that stood out most to a lot of people was the official release window for The Mandalorian’s third season.

Din Djarin and Grogu are set to return to our screens in February next year, which is a lot sooner than it could have been? Maybe? Okay, yeah, it’s still quite a wait. But it sounds like it’s going to be worth it - according to a new report, one particular character is going to be getting a lot more of the spotlight when the new episodes premiere next year.

While you're here, be sure to take a look at the first trailer for Star Wars: Andor below.

Stealth Optional claim that season three is going to be focusing a lot more on the culture of Mandalorians, and namely on Din Djarin himself. Up until now, it’s undeniable that Grogu (or Baby Yoda, as he’s more often referred to by fans) has been quite heavily relied upon. Not that anyone can really be too mad about that, I mean, just look at that face. However, I’m sure a lot of fans will be happy to see the titular character get a bit more attention.

It’s not just stopping there, though - a fourth season has already been officially confirmed, because you just can’t have too much Star Wars. It’s currently expected to air in 2024, so if February’s batch of episodes don’t have enough Baby Yoda for your liking, don’t panic - there’s more to come.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves though, because season three is sure to be full of stuff that fans will love - during Star Wars Celebration, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni revealed that the fan-favourite Babu Frik will be making an appearance. Let Babu Frik and Grogu become friends, cowards.
